Brett,

This is great and I would pay to use it in a second if it could handle uploads on the iphone/ipad (something like http://www.aurigma.com/iphone/). I just signed up for the developer key. Will you be emailing that list with feature updates/news? Thanks

Good to know re. mobile.

Re. email, we'll be trying to limit the number of emails we send out to the lowest possible, but if there's interest we can create a separate mailing list that's higher volume for feature announcements, etc. over the coming week.

Great I'll be following the progress. One more thing I would really need is the ability to remove and order the upload options.

Good to know. Is that something you imagine the developer being able to specify or a user setting?

Hey Liyan, I would want this as something I, as the developer, could specify. A social site might want all the options there, but for my sites I'm worried about conversion and wouldn't want the added confusion of having upload choices that my customers are rarely going to use.

Great post. We have a similar experience and its nice to read about those of us who didn't start coding / building our companies until late 20s/30s.

Wow - love your 2 sites - would be awesome if you did a similar blog post. Those pictures->canvas things are getting pretty popular at local boutiques.

Thanks!

I am having the same issue. Please let us know if there is a way to get this working in google apps mail.

It sounds like whomever controls your your Google Apps Mail account has disabled 3rd party apps - once that is enabled you will be able to dl Taskforce. If you like I'm happy to explain the benefits to them, you can email me on nic@taskforceapp - thx!

That fixed it. Thanks! Just started playing with it and this is EXACTLY what I have been looking for.

Really cool idea. I have a canvas printing company and we'll print pg's map for free if you like.

If you do this, be sure to include a legend that explains what the colors mean.

Also, if you can switch the {yellow-orange, orange-yellow} color scheme to something more easily differentiable, that would be a nice touch too.

Agreed, a more differentiable color scheme would be nicer. In the next couple days I will reach out to a couple designers seeing if they can emulate the "Earth at Night" poster that I mentioned in my note.

An idea for the future might be to somehow tie in with sites like elance or have your own outsourcing program. It'd be nice to be able to manage the internal projects and outsourced projects in one place.

I'm late to the party but I have been looking for something exactly like this. To make a tool like this to work, I would need to get the team on board, so I'll probably wait a bit for the initial bugs to get worked out, But we'll be a customer...just do regular email updates so I know when to jump in.

Will do. Thanks for the encouraging words.

You may want to check out craiglook.com. They allow you to search craigslist by distance from zip code. That comes in really handy when looking for something specific and could be a good feature to build into your site. Good luck!

Hey vaksel,

I can your point about the PRWeb sales, but the reddit ad pct that I attributed to DDG sponsorship was the percentage above average and we've been advertising on Reddit for a few months now. Also, that was also immediate sales. We have a very good percentage of customers that reorder, especially around the holidays, so the final number will be much higher, probably by a multiple of 3 or 4.

Hey ig1,

We have a pretty high reorder rate so the cumulative effect of the sponsorship will probably be more than double the initial sales.
