Still they are quite popular here in The Netherlands. Dec 2024 almost 10.000 5-year lease contracts expired. There are lots of 2nd hand M3 for sale now, for about EUR 20.000 which is quite a good deal.
Even in essence brand new EVs are getting very significant discounts over there if you are not choosy. I wonder how the financing companies will be able to handle these if their guaranteed buyback prices need to hold. And they are underwater...
5 year lease cars are usually thrashed. They are the cheapest expensive option. Considering (in the Netherlands) who get those I'd stay far away from those.
I have a different experience. 5-10 calls/day on Windows or iPhone. Seamless transition if I want to switch the conversation to another device. Use multiple webcams and headsets. Screen-share a lot. Both Teams App and browser version. Never had any problems with it.
I really like Teams and what it brings to my team. But reading the comments here I'm the minority.
It feels like a bit of hyperfixation going on. Teams is terrible but so are Slack, Zoom, Google Meet, Discord, etc. They're all also amazing, including Teams. Turns out different people have different experiences and different usage patterns (and hardware) that work differently well with different applications.
Personally I prefer Teams over Slack but I haven't used Teams in a large company. Formatting is nicer in Slack but I can't imagine why anyone would claim Slack is good for sharing code beyond basic one-liners. Teams allows me to carry over a video call from one device to another while Slack doesn't even allow me to queue a message when I'm on spotty WiFi. Threading on Teams is a bit unusual but Slack's multiple ways of viewing threads (only one of which shows new replies in real time) can also be annoying.
But I'm not representative of most of the people commenting here. I run stock Windows 11 with an Azure AD domain account on a Surface Studio Laptop, I do my development in WSL and my browsing in Edge. And for the most part, everything just works.
It is not in the TD Center, its at CIBC Square. Been there for 3 days early April, it’s a really nice office, with lots of space. Views are great too, you can see all over the city and lake.
Searching on Google Maps, it looks like the "HQ" is located inside Toronto-Dominion Centre, which is an office complex downtown, nothing too exciting to look at.
If I create a team and share requests, do I also share passwords and other credentials? If so, where are they stored and how secure is that?
I work for a company with many different project. Is there a workflow where I can save a workspace as one file and save/load it with my project from Git (or any local folder on my computer)?
I like this idea. I'm wondering how much extra time and effort you put into this. Loading up the containers to bring to the store, bringing the containers into the store, filling the containers, cleaning the containers, etc.
