They won't change this unless some huge government body forces them, unfortunately. The market just follows the big players and there is nothing we can do. Something like EU should step in.

Damn, what are they thinking right now?

Not an accountant But I think, they are thinking that software devs should be consultants ( unless they are researches doing something very risky, something that may not work (from technical not business sense))

This way, they are an expense to the corporation, and each one of the consultants pay their own income tax.

In that way the corporation building software for sale/SaaS is treated the same way that a corporation that's buying and then renting out real-estate, for example.

Use VPN. It was easy to trick and get on the waitlist.

Ah yes, I want to risk getting banned by Google.

Oh no! They'll delete my free account and I'll be forced to spend 3 minutes making another throw-away.

You're not missing anything. The thing is crap and they know it.

APKTool is amazing and have used it before to check the security on some apps. But it doesn't do much when it comes to apps made using flutter as the code is stored in a binary form. Wish if they consider adding a way to decompile that as well.

Is it just me who thinks this is a work of a junior or intermediate dev to show a POW? I am sure they are working on some internal service to be used for translation but just worked on it fast to make it a 2021 feature.

I wish for the world not to go this direction

So do I, but I've known of a case in the family where the 11 year old kid was left with his phone in such a way that he got into the habit of watching YouTube even after 11 pm on schooldays. He could have had an opportunity of enjoying a good education, but his abuse of his phone and the family's iPad left him with bad grades. So bad, that going to university was no longer an option.

There are many career paths in Germany, so one could think that this might not really be an issue, but he also started messing up the alternatives. Now with Corona he is in a full limbo.

And this is only close family, I wouldn't be surprised if this is a more widespread issue, so I do appreciate if methods are sought after to avoid these kind of unnecessary problems, which are just a manifestation of bad parenting, but having a camera with an AI behind it watching your every step or possibly listening into your daily life feels like the wrong approach. It is scary.

They removed the "don't be evil" motto.
