How often do courses change? Couldn't you just do this once or twice a semester?

Can an iPhone multitask? I wasn't aware of it. (And I own one)

It's a pretty trollish question, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt :)

The iPhone runs OSX, so mutitasking's built in at an OS level. For a number of reasons Apple have decided that user-installed apps can't run in the background, meaning that when you select another app, the previous one actually closes.

Some Apple apps, like the phone, iPod player etc are exempt from this rule and do run in the background.

Have you ever been browsing in MobileSafari and had an incoming call or SMS arrive? Have you ever listened to music and had a calendar alarm fire? Congratulations, you just experienced multitasking.

Can someone who reports other people's ideas be influential? I'd have thought the originator should be the one counted.

I guess they influence what people see, if they're popular.

Because AT&T charge Apple prices for service for the iPhone.

It's not been just the business market in my experience. I know two people within the last two months who opted for the Curve over the iPhone.

"A lot of the "OMG Scala <3" stuff being written recently comes from people who have written Scala books and therefore kind of have an agenda."

My guess would have been that they were excited about Scala before they wrote the book.

And that URL becomes longer still! http://dickensurl.com/399/I_revere_the_memory_of_Mr._F._as_a....

I think the joke is that Dickens is known for being extra wordy as an author, and to make a "tinyurl" service using his works would be... ludicrous. =)

ludicrous? I think it's amazing...because I'm STILL trying to finish A Tale of Two Cities.

I think you want more than a lot of data.

That's a good start, but you also want it to be structured in a way that requires some thought (or just in 3+ normal form). Have someone ask for a report out of it (or come up with as many reports as you can).

I wish I had a suggestion for such a data set. Microsoft's famous case is Northwind, but I don't know where you might find it (without having searched just now).

For my own situation, I've not started one. It's still a dream, but one I've kept on the wayside by working for startups as opposed to having my own.

Sometimes, I wish I could pull wool over the eyes of people who have their heads buried in the sand.
