I went into boat detailing for two years after a mental health breakdown of 20 years in SysAdmin/DevOps/SRE/CTO/whatever the industry wanted to call the guy who always caught all of the balls.
It paid the bills and was a great seachange for a while for me to get my head back in check and learn boundaries of work/life balance.
I'm now back in a DevOps role the last year but things are different now. Mostly my attitude and expectations.
If you need the break, take it. The market will pick you back up when you are ready.
Allotrac is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join it's cloud based Transport Management System that provides end-to-end visibility to our end users. Our paperless platform integrates seamlessly into our customer's key systems to provide pain free transport business solutions.
We are an established player in the market and are currently expanding our development team to match our growing needs. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer focused on automation and maintenance of our existing infrastructure, as well as the planning and implementation of the next generation of our platform.
The technology stack consists of:
* Kubernetes
* mySQL
* AWS
* Python/PHP
We don't mind if you are junior in some of these areas and a master at just a few.
What we are interested in is hiring raw talent that is keen to grow with the business and explore speciality possibilities as time goes on.
The position has not been listed elsewhere yet.
Please reach out on d.ward@allotrac.com.au if you'd like to find out more about the role.
I agree - this is the story outline for HL2:EP3. If this is close to the truth of the projected story line, it's way too short. It wraps up HL2:EP1 and HL2:EP2 nicely but I'm going to be naive and say it's not the end of HL3.
Maybe the best move now is to just move on directly to HL3 and reference part of this released story line as flashbacks.
