I'm Ashwin, from Johns Creek, GA and used to work with startups in the bay. I'm starting something new with this state senate run: I hope to inspire young technologists to give back to their communities by running for local office and focus on issues that matter, like tech and entrepreneurship!

JIF is a brand new interdisciplinary program at Georgetown Law that places technologists and designers in state, local, tribal, and territorial courts to improve the public's access to justice. The goal is to develop open, replicable, and scalable solutions that make courts more transparent, equitable, and efficient. It is also an opportunity to seed culture change in courts by helping usher in the adoption of modern technology and user design practices.

Social code platforms are platforms that let users share and collaborate on datasets, AI models, and other coding projects (we call this content “social code”). When Congress considers changes to platform liability, lawmakers should not legislate with solely Facebook and Twitter in mind. This requires understanding what makes social code platforms different, how they underlie our digital infrastructure, their benefits and harms, and how they are affected by Section 230. Only then can we avoid the unintended consequences of legal reform that is outdated upon passage.
