I think this might work for cognitive-based works like programming but not for muscle-based works like doing constructions.

Yep, true

I was an accommodating person until I realize what people value is not you doing what they want when they ask you. But it is when you doing something with them or for them with a motivation from within yourself, just because you want to or just because you feel like to or just because you think they deserve it or something like that.

To them I am just an all nice fellow who is kind to everybody. I earned their gratitude but not their love and in the process I hurt people that truly care and love about me.

You are right but I also can understand his 'influential developer' negativity effect. In my place there's this one influential developer (the Team Lead) that can veto every decisions even though the others juniors/seniors under him already have consensus. He doesn't want the existing process to be altered. Now he's alone as everyone is leaving.

Had that happen, too. Had two tech leads over me who didn't want to learn anything new. One guy was in love with Apache Camel, the other, was just a J2EE guy from like the early 2000s. Frustrating.

Have to agree with this. I freshly installed windows 10, and the sleep feature is just not working when the lid is closed. I've tried several suggestions and still got the same results. Feels the same like setting up linux desktop, only I know in the end it will work.

I heard that healthy human is the key to sustainable population. Less-healthy human condition tend to make human have more babies since mortality rate on their babies are higher.

How about right person at the right time?

Nope if I read that right. They made a simulation with random data. It explained 70% of the measured impact attributed to CEOs.

A prove that it's random can not be explained by claiming that it depends on anything. But it still leaves those 30% to be explained by something else.

I recently switch to jotterpad + dropbox for this reason. Plus, now I can quickly edit my notes on PC with vim.

Also Indonesian speakers :P (we got it from you Dutch)
