It's even harder to work with these engineers if, like me, you don't have a lot of experience (or are not that smart).
Are these the type of engineers that will tell you "don't do this" when they review your PRs and then you will find "this" in all of their implementations?
It's not easy to work with them but I was hoping that with more experience I'd be able to challenge their ideas with more confidence... Now I think that will never happen..
Usually reviewing their PRs would take me at least half a day of work... Maybe even more
This is great! Right now "locality" and the News application are not working (..loading) for me.
Other than that, would be great to be able to run it in the background so that I can have it there while I work and check it out every now and then to see photos, encyclopedia, and other stuff, while also listening to the radios.
I see that it now runs in the background...and would like to ask for another feature...being able to pause it would be great...I like to have it running in the background while I work, but don't want it running all weekend haha. Maybe if I close the tab it'll stop though, but just having a "pause" button somewhere could be useful.
This is pretty cool, have you thought about also implementing it to help quit smoking? I believe the same cohort approach can be used...would just have to divide into smokers cohorts and drinkers cohorts.
You shouldn't be flying a Cessna 152 if you can't follow a checklist. Although I would wait until the investigation is finished...it's hard to know what goes on in the cockpit until all the data is gathered and analysed.
"Live in the now and make the now the way you want it to be."
Sometimes (most of the times for the "normal" person), this is impossible, contradictory, conflicting...His approach to the subject is realistic, effective...Does it sound good? definitely no...That's life..
You can look at it in a positive way though...work with the resources you have to get the best from them...maybe not the life you want, but the best one you can get from your current reality.
Just to give more context, he's a redux maintainer but he writes about several different subjects, Redux, React, Git, Applications in general, etc...
He makes long and thorough posts, with lots of details and great analogies.
Would be ideal to have some sort of Google sheets or Excel free template...
I've seen people tackling this issue and having all sorts of columns in their spreadsheets like: "Signing bonus", "Vacations", "Salary", etc, etc...
When I had this problem, I just used a note taking app to just write some things about the company, and tracked all the interviews...my approach sucked and I was always confused about what the status of my interview process was and had a hard time remembering who I was interviewing with when I was entering interview meetings... I have a lot of interest in productivity and organization but I'm the worst at implementing these things in my life.
