This is a lot like what I tried with http://www.mindwallet.com. Here is a video if you don't want to sign up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNpAH7AGhIk

I like the hash tag syntax quite a bit. I love these types of apps and seeing how different people approach it. The one box entry is also a really nice touch.

This is a great addition! I'll have to start experimenting with moving off of SQL to Mongo.

I had this going at http://www.mindwallet.com (demo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNpAH7AGhIk ) about 6 months ago. I'm glad to see it finally come to workflowy in a much more usable way. Keep going guys. You have the dedication and the funding. I don't so I'm hoping you'll make this tool into all that it can be. This deal could be the next big thing with a few tweaks.

Add embedly and let me post facebook and twitter posts from workflowy and you'll be all caught up with mindwallet and I can start using workflowy again.

git push appharbor master?

Maybe appharbor should open source their deployment routine because I sure don't have any issues with deploying my apps there and rolling back when I need to.

It's an HTTP git receiver - nothing magical there

I'd ignore this feedback for now. I'm not saying that these people aren't important, just that you sound like you're solo like me. Stay focused on your product. These folks will eventually come in from the wild once the product is good enough and they realize that you're using fbconnect like they use the power company.

Yes. They are called Windows users. And I am one of them. I set up an ec2 instance last week using a similar process. I also got a cywin up locally, but I use the ec2 instance mostly.

Now that you mention it, Virtual Box would be a great solution and it would be great to have a guide walking through this. I used google to figure everything out and 'node.js ec2' is a query you get to pretty quickly when you have no starting reference point.

I spent the past week getting node.js up and running. This guide helps a ton. Thanks for doing this.

On the other hand I've learned more about unix in the last week than I ever wanted to know. I'm now happily hacking away at my code on my ec2 instance using vim and all sorts of funky commands. I still have no idea what nginx is supposed to do, but I did figure out how to turn it off. Yeah, me.

So, if like me, you've never logged into a unix box, you may actually want to try one of the harder guides. It will teach you a ton.

They are both a MindWallet competitors. They probably don't know it yet though.

Thanks for peddling your unrelated application.

Your welcome. In what way do you feel it is unrelated? I'm doing something in the group collaboration space. There were a bunch of other links posted. Some of which I hadn't ever heard of. I though it was a good contribution.

Log in. Create an item. Share the item. Let me know if you still think it is completely unrelated. Unrefined. yes. incomplete. yes. Full of bugs. Yes. But it is an mvp and I need all the feedback I can get. Even if it is a little persnickety.

Cut the guy some slack. It's not like he's asking $10/month.

I'm not sure if I have an opinion of whether this is a good idea or not, but I did key in on context.

I've built tool at MindWallet that would have let these students tweet and capture context. Here is an example of notes I took at StartUp Houston a couple of weeks ago. It is in context and you can navigate up the tree if you want more context than can be found at this level.

A couple of days ago I added the ability to tweet in-line, from different accounts.

Here is what some of that looks like in context: http://www.mindwallet.com/?ItemKey=787541c7-0860-41ea-a21a-2...

Here is a horribly unedited video about how to use it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNpAH7AGhIk

Someone at sprint is getting fired. Were they not just in the news talking about a network share with T-mobile?
