The number of write cycles to any block of flash is limited. Once the write counter for a block has hit the manufacturers hardcoded limit, the SSD will not trust that block to have data written to it anymore.
The whole point of this piece of software is to be smart about how and when it flushes data so it can minimize impact on the write counter.
I've been using Swiftkey Flow Beta, and it's fantastic! You're right, Swiftkey's killer feature is the way it handles multiple languages without hassle. It is the difference between people hating touch screen keyboards and loving them. If I were an Android handset provider in a multi-language country I would install it by default on all phones. Android would blow all other platforms out of the water in no time then.
Wow, they don't want people to spot that, do they :) I went to the signup page to verify before I posted my comment and completely missed the link, even though I was looking for it. I really appreciate them doing that - will check out their library today.
Edit: Or not. They seem to know my city better than me since my postcode is both required and invalid...
I think you meant that sarcastically, but it actually is good design from Spotify's point of view. They really want people to link their accounts to Facebook, but don't want to lose the potential users who steadfastly refuse to do so. Tailoring the language and design to encourage the desired choice is smart, even if it might not be quite right grammatically.
No sugar from soda... I've drunk diet soda as long as I can remember. My belief is that anything with significant sugar in is highly addictive; I've got a very very addictive personality, and have never felt remotely addicted to soda, but have also only ever drunk diet soda.
To be fair, OP said 'sugar in the form of cakes, candy, and donuts'. Also, sodas are a special case, as they have pretty much zero nutritional value and, unlike solid food, do nothing to fill you up.
