Yeah I always open my visor when I'm stopped/riding slowly for longer than I can comfortably hold my breath. Depending on the temperature outside, if I don't open my visor it will fog up real fast.

I'm able to just use F12 on Ubuntu.

Oh! Same here… Thanks!

>arduino (which i've always derided as baby-talk-programming-for-potheads, how about that)

C++ is baby-talk-programming-for-potheads? Or am I misunderstanding this?

Not the c++, the functions they give for simple things, so you don't have to read the manual to find out for instance the name of the GPIO port register (a very small step) or learn the boolean operations to diddle only one bit (another very small step). This is fine for an educational toy but arduino libs (and even the boards, ha) are showing up as part of finished products in the market, that's really sad.

Is my personal opinion that c++ doesn't belong on an 8 bit anyway.

One day I wondered where dinosaurs fit into christianity. I know next to nothing about christianity but I think it includes the belief that humans were on Earth pretty soon after Earth's creation, which meant either christianity rejected the dinosaur's existence or they lived alongside humans, which would be a pretty neat scenario to imagine.

If I recall correctly the common explanations I found were that humans did in fact live alongside dinosaurs, and that dinosaurs lived and died within the first few days of their creation for whatever reason.

One article I read on a christian website also said that the dating of dinosaur fossils by scientists was incorrect because bones don't have timestamp labels on them so there's no way one could know.

In regards to "I wonder how people reconcile such discoveries backed by scientific validation" I think it's quite often simply unsubstantiated rejection.

Eh I once heard someone make a distinction that I like between 'what you enjoy' and 'what makes you happy'.

A somewhat boring example is it's unlikely you enjoy doing your university exams, however your state of happiness after completing your degree will be higher than if you had instead done something more enjoyable with your time (e.g. play video games).

Just a personal experience: I had bought several ~$20AU iPhone 4S batteries from eBay from different sellers, and while they started off okay their capacity dramatically decreased after a few weeks.

Also I'm unsure on how a device determines battery charge, but I forever had issues with the phone turning off while reporting the battery had ~30% left.

Maybe I didn't treat the batteries correctly, but I can't recall as this was several years ago.

I've had great success ordering OEM Samsung batteries for Galaxy S3 and S5, $3 and $7 respectively, that are still working after several years.

While there are very strong benefits to commuting on a bicycle, a motorcycle will likely be the faster method of commute transport.

Although this is probably dependent on your local laws and how much you abide by those laws, as I know lane filtering and such is illegal in a lot of the US.

Not in Manhattan though, and definitely not along my commute. Motorcycles are about as slow as the cars. There isn't room for a full motorcycle to filter through the narrow space between the row of parked cars and the line of slow-moving traffic. Hell, sometimes there's barely room to slip through on a bicycle. And it's flat out illegal for motorcyclists to ride in the bike lane.

But yeah, this is more of a special case than generally applicable to most places. On your typical suburban commute you can definitely save time by filtering between rows of parked cars at lights. That just doesn't work here very well.

Aren't all lanes in US of a minimum width?

IIRC only California allows lane splitting. So this is a legal issue as well.

No?

And you're forgetting the double parking, bad parking, standing cars, building construction, street construction, etc. Streets of Manhattan are chaotic. Trust me when I say that there is often not any room for motorcyclists to filter past cars, especially not when bicycle lanes are present.

It being legal or not isn't the issue; it's not possible.

A minimum width lane really doesn't leave enough room to lane split. It works in places like California because they have significantly wider lanes than the minimum required almost everywhere.

That's not true. An experienced motorcyclist could filter through most US cities. Most people have no idea how small a gap a motorcycle can fit through.

I had a similar behaviour years ago. I deleted the app from my phone, but then after a short while logged in via my phone's browser. A short while after that I chose to 'delete' my account (after backing up the archive of course). Since it gives you 30 days to reconsider your decision, I thought if I really missed facebook that much I'd log in within the 30 days. It's been years since and I haven't had the slightest desire to be apart of facebook.

In recent times my attention has been drawn to the amount of time wasted on random Youtube videos. Youtube is more difficult since the service actually has value to me. Somehow restricting my access to only videos from my subscriptions could be a possible solution.

I'm surprised someone is yet to point out the error of using the word poisonous instead of venomous. I suppose it's not important to the article.

Although, if you do decide to nibble one you may find it is indeed disagreeable.
