This one surprises me every time I fly. When I have the aisle seat I can be up and out in 10 seconds. It seems to make like everyone else will plop down , place down 3 different liquids on the tray and then take a nap. When I ask to use the bathroom I end up feeling like a nuisance
> When I ask to use the bathroom I end up feeling like a nuisance
It's your right to ask to use the bathroom whenever you need. And others have the right to use that little tray for their stuff when they want. (while allowed by the airline, of course)
Yup, it's their right, as it's their right to crank their seat back. Both are available, and expected. I see some take issue with people doing them at all, but I don't really mind much. Might be related to being 180cm or so - about 5"11, when most complaining seem to be larger.
My issue on my original post isn't really them moving the seat, but the lack of notice. It would have taken barely a second to lean over the seat and let me know. But I suspect they didn't even think about how that might affect anyone else.
It would be kinda crazy if someone didn't say they wanted to get out to the aisle and just started trying to climb over you with no warning.
The computers they give us at work are pretty powerful. Mine has 64 gigs of ram. When I power it on the fans instantly go into full blast mode because the computer is heating up. why? I have no idea I just run Edge and Teams, if I try to use VS my computer will crash. At home I use Mac and Linux (kububtu) and will never have windows on my devices again
I have the computer they handed me 3 years ago still. As soon as it powers on the fans go into full gear. Almost nothing running, just Edge. If I have VS on the thing hate crashes. 64gb ram
As much as I would love to be a Leslie Knope, by the time I’ve allotted all my caring to the things in life that keep me employed , fed , housed, and ad hoc family requests, I don’t have the capacity to care about much more. I really wish I did ,but because I have a limited “care bucket” , most of it is going to a bunch of insignificant BS. What the author noticed I notice a lot too , but I think that is because I am someone who actually tries to engineer better solutions to problems. I’ve noticed a “good enough” attitude in almost all aspects of my life and it’s frustrating.
Is your comment about SUVs simple because you notice this issue is more prevalent in taller cars or because you don’t like them for other reasons? I myself have not noticed this correlation. Some of the time it’s after market crap the owner didn’t bother to adjust properly, but most of the time it’s newer cars such as Teslas where see this issue , and the sedans are fairly low to the ground
With taller vehicles the headlights often start out higher off the ground. Even if aimed properly, that puts oncoming drivers in a brighter portion of the light as the distance closes.
Taller cars with higher lights definitely cause more of a problem for other drivers, simply due to the geometry involved.
I have a sedan, when another sedan pulls up behind me I don't see their lights. When a tall vehicle pulls up behind me, their lights shine directly through my rear window, reflect directly from the rearview mirror, and cause glare on my windshield. Incredibly frustrating.
Cars with a taller front end are more noticeable and I also hate SUVs. There's no need to move a 2000kg monster vehicle around, they use a lot of space and pollute a lot.
