Inexperienced drivers and drunk drivers. Where I'm from there are many inexperienced drivers with lots of money due to political connections. In fact inexperienced drivers are almost a target market for cars in that price range here. There are also brats with rich parents. There's also pretty widespread drunk driving across the board.

Oh great, another urban tank, this time with much more power.

I'm torn between "yay, another Chelsea hyper-tractor" and "yay, a super-cool future-car". But mostly "cool!"

Probably Scala (although I hope Kotlin makes some inroads too), but I don't think it will ever displace Java in a significant way. Scala, outliers aside, is well loved by it's users [1], but not everyone wants to spend the time to learn it. Java remains popular because it's the nobody got fired for picking it default, not because it's technically superior to Kotlin, Celon etc. The Java language has become one of the poorest choices on the JVM and is showing its age when compared to the alternatives. We ditched Java for Scala for most work. It's fantastic to work with once you've learned it, but it's not a path for everyone who doesn't have the inclination to spend the time learning.

They might instruct all their customers to use IE6 for "security".

I've used it for at least 4 years, only got one spam message ever. I blocked the sender. I didn't uninstall whatsapp.

Antitrust was great, a longtime favourite of mine. They at least had some focus on coding etc. rather than just mindless bashing on a keyboard to "hack" random systems.

> Incidentally, though the article says it was scientists who discovered the fossils - they were actually discovered by amateur cavers.
