Thanks for your question! Yes, almost everything that is created is copyrighted to the creator, automatically.
The only items that have no copyrights are public domain items. The only way to have public domain items are after the copyrights expire many years later, or if the copyright owner declares it so before the time it happens automatically.
I agree that scribd should try it and see what FaceBook says later. I was just pointing something out of interest to them since nobody else probably actually reads those agreements. :)
Oh please, pretty much everything on scribd is someone else's work and I doubt those guys have any rights to them. Original poster had a valid question.
Thanks for your reply. Before and after the edit, the post was a question meant for scribd developers to answer, who posted the link themselves. I edited my post to make it more clear that I was asking a question, not playing lawyer.
