It’s already expensive enough as it is! My state just updated their laws but it’s still illegal to grow which is frustrating. I very much want to grow my own supply, anything but spending $50 on an eighth of unknown origin.
Here's the problem, they shove it full of so much shit that no one can agree with it and it doesn't go anywhere. Decriminalize it first, then pass separate legislation to deal with expunging criminal records, then pass banking legislation, and then help communities who needlessly suffered and kind of tackle the issues in bite size chunks. I seriously don't think they have any intention of following through on their election promises. They understand that by trying to shove everything through in one shot it will never get anywhere and that's fine with them.
Congress doesn’t do anything in piecemeal. Imagine how much better the affordable care act could have been if they had broken it up. First ban denial for pre-exsisting conditions. Let the market settle then bring in employer mandated coverage, and then let the market settle! I have dreamed about working for myself, but the price of private insurance is so grossly out there that we could not afford it. It’s not that I don’t love the company I work for, it’s a good company, sometimes I’m only here for the insurance. Shoving such large “solve everytning” legislation seems to do more harm than good because it takes ten, fifteen years to fix all the mistakes made in the first place.
