I think this is a pretty strange announcement. Google's Chrome team has pledged to break this functionality in 2023 (pushed back from 2022) as part of their "privacy sandbox" initiative, and it already doesn't work in Safari and Brave. Any Googlers or Xooglers able to explain? Seems like a major case of poor inter-company planning.
