Substack definitely gets a lot of things right and makes it easy to monetize a blog, but writing off other sources of content because

After all, if your content is really good, the medium shouldn't matter that much.
An interesting discussion of network effects, the importance of user experience and incentives to use the platform everyone else is using. Trivial inconveniences cost you users in ways that compound.
