Apple/Google should allow people to answer phone calls from strangers with a voice changer. It's way too easy to clone someone's voice and cause harm. Alternatively, they could notify you if they detect a faked voice, but maybe these two ideas are contradictory.

Another solution, of course, is to not pick up the phone from unknown numbers unless you're expecting a food delivery or something.



That would cause more harm than it would prevent. People calling from other people's phones is a common and necessary thing.

Trying to detect faked voices would make sense.
