I’m looking for an outdoor, battery-powered camera that can record continuously for at least 48 hours, and that writes to a local SD card. The plan is to check the camera, pull footage and swap batteries every 24 hours for a few weeks. Does such a thing exist?
(Solar-powered rechargeable batteries would be acceptable, but makes installation more complicated, and I need to buy 5-10 of these.)
Everything I can find wants to connect to a cell network or is motion triggered (there are plenty of trail cameras in the << $100 range with those restrictions).
Time lapse with a <= 1 second interval would be fine.
It has to be seen which size of SD card will be needed for 24 h recording at 0.5s, and of course how long the battery will last.
And probably they won't be as cheap as dashcams or trail cameras.
